Veri Soda – Moms Meet

veri 2

Soda has never tasted so good! With only 60 calories, caffeine free and no artificial ingredients, how could I go wrong?   Veri Soda uses organic, non-GMO ingredients in their soda. The line is also USDA NOP-certified organic.  Your probably wondering how it is sweetened.  Well, Veri uses organic fruit juice, organic can sugar and organic stevia.  You know what I love most, besides the taste. I can easily read every ingredient in Veri Soda.

I tasted Veri Ginger Ale, Veri Cola, and Veri Orange Soda. Each had the typical pop of a can and fizz. The Ginger Ale had a beautiful golden color and tasted much better than a few other brands I’ve had in the past. The Cola was the typical brownish color and smelled wonderful! The taste was light and refreshing. Veri Orange was of course orange in color when I inhaled the wonderful orange smell; it took me to the tropics and hot weather.

veri

I truly enjoyed each and every flavor of Veri Soda. Fill a tall glass with lots of ice and enjoy this remarkable organic soda!

Veri Soda is available in Veri Ginger Ale, Veri Orange, Veri Cola, and Veri Lemon Lime. It is available at select stores nationwide. Learn more about Veri Soda or get exclusive access to special offers by click one of the links below.

BiteSizers

FFR image for posts

Meal time is always crazy at my house. With a growing 5 year old boy and an almost 2 year old girl (going on 15), preparing meals is always hectic.  I try my best to have them eat what we eat, but sometimes it’s hard. Trying to cut food up into small enough pieces for their liking while they are yelling “I’m hungry, “Is it ready yet”, etc. can make any mom struggle to have a smooth meal time.  Anything that makes this part easier, I’m signing up for!

IMG_3667

Thank goodness for BiteSizers! Upon first opening they look like everyday scissors. I thought to myself, they’ll probably work the same as kitchen scissors.  Guess what? They work a whole lot better! Way better than using a fork a knife. Who would have thought?! Simply take whatever you are eating, use BiteSizers to cut pieces to your liking, and that’s it!  I was honestly amazed at how easily it cut through this quesadilla.

IMG_3668 IMG_3670

I then went on to cut up some cantaloupe. Usually I use a fork and knife to cut fruit up.  Using BiteSizers was a whole lot easier. I went from cutting a quesadilla to cantaloupe, and then I cut up a PBJ just for fun.  They work on any food that I would ever feed my kids.  I love that it has a Snap-On cap to keep the blades good and for easy travel. I can throw them in my diaper bag easily.  There’s even a handy built-in sizer guide so you can cut food to the size recommended by experts as best for children.

IMG_3672

Since I started using BiteSizers both of my kids have tried more foods than ever. It’s just so easy to cut a little bite off of whatever I’m eating and share with my kids. BiteSizers are available exclusively at

www.mixedpears.com and www.amazon.com

I would highly recommend them to anyone with young children.

Drop Your Pants for Underwareness Movement

Thank you to Depend for sponsoring today’s discussion.

Underwareness Bladder Leakage

Drop Your Pants for Underwareness Movement

I am not quite ready to drop my pants (and yes, some people are literally dropping their pants for this campaign!!) for Underwareness, but I do want to share the reality that over 65 million Americans experience bladder leakage. That is a pretty high number, isn’t it? And I am one of those 65 million. Maybe I didn’t do enough kegels during pregnancy or after I had my babies? Maybe I inherited weak bladder muscles? Whatever the cause, it affects me each and every day. I can no longer be as physically active as I once was without the aid of bladder leakage protection. I can no longer laugh, sneeze or cough without suffering from the offensive “bl”. Very dear people in my life joke about “needing a panty liner” when we get together, but the truth is, I need something more than a panty liner most days or I may find my pants wet!

So to help support Underwareness and bring the condition and Depend Underwear out of the wall of shame, Depend has created a new social movement and charitable cause called Underwareness. You, too, can share your story. You will be helping Underwareness, supporting the millions of Americans with bladder leakage and helping to break down the stigma of the condition and Depend Underwear. Depend offers discreet products that are thin, not a bulky diaper, which are a much more comfortable option for those suffering from this often viewed “shameful” condition. Thus, helping people regain their freedom and get their lives back. If you are wondering what to wear for bladder leakage, Depend products include:

Depend products

For Women:
– Depend® Silhouette® Briefs for Women
– Depend® for Women Underwear with FIT-FLEX™ Protection

For Men:
– Depend® Real Fit® Briefs for Men
– Depend® for Men Underwear With FIT-FLEX™ Protection

Underwareness Campaign

Depend will donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that advance the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage for: Every pant drop, photo and video shared. Use hashtags #Underwareness and #DropYourPants in your social sharing.

Mission Belt Review

“Product was provided for this post as part of an opportunity with The Brand Connection.“

Mission Belt Review

belt 4

My husband is always having problems finding a belt that fits him comfortably.  Well, with Mission Belt Co., no need to look any further!  My husband has been wearing his Mission Belt to work daily and he loves it.  It’s easy to use and he is able to adjust the belt when needed.  We received the Mission Belt “Iron” in black leather.  The silver tone of the buckle is given a vintage look to it and yes it’s actually leather!  The buckle is heavy yet not intrusive.

belt 6

The Mission Belt Co. has a special belt with no holes. The underside of the belt has these rivet looking teeth that when you slide the belt it clicks into spot. Normal belt holes are spaced at 1 inch apart, the Mission Belt adjusts to ¼ inch.  When it’s time to take off the belt, you just push the release lever up and slide the belt out of the buckle.  Easy right!?

Smiley360 – Crest Sensi-Stop Strips Review

I received this product for free from Smiley360 in exchange for my honest review. You can join Smiley360 here!”

crest_logoOh that OUCH when you eat something cold or hot. Perhaps you ate something too sweet or acidy.  Crest Sensi-Stop Strips are here for you! Just open up the strip and apply it to the sensitive area. It will give you instant relief and you will get up to a month’s protection.

How do they work, you ask?

Crest Sensi-Stop Strips are thin, flexible strips that contain dipotassium oxalate desensitizing gel on one side. “

crest

It goes on to say the strip makes a barrier that helps to stop the pain by blocking tubules. They will last up to 1 month and many people find relief when they first apply the strip.

My husband has the sensitive teeth in our family. He was quite impressed with this product. His sensitivity is toward sweet foods. He found relief quickly after reading the directions and applying the Crest Sensi-Stop. It also made me happy that after the strip is applied you are able to use your regular toothpaste.

NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser

NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser

We drink a lot of water. We are currently on well water. The water itself is fine, however, we have to add salt since the home has an on-demand water softener system. It is the salt in the water that makes our water no-so-great. That is why we were excited to be offered a NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser. No more carting home 10 1-gallon water jugs since we can use!

The NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser is a nice little appliance to have in our home. It has a stainless steel front and black sides and back. It has a slim size, which makes it a great choice for smaller homes or areas within the home. We put ours just off the kitchen in the master suite hallway since there is no room in our small kitchen.

NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser Specs

~ 33.65 lbs.
~ 1-year manufacturer’s limited warranty.
~ Removable plastic drip tray.
~ Hot & Cold water dispenser
~ Two push button controls – the hot water has a safety regulated “hot water” push button, making it safe for children.
~ Light indicators.
~ Hot water 176°F – 203°F.
~ Cold water 41°F – 50°F.
~ Compatible with 2-gallon, 3-gallon or 5-gallon bottles of water.
~ Features a stainless steel water tank which delivers a plastic free taste when drinking both hot and cold water.
~ UL Certified.
~ Easy no installation; simply remove it from its packaging, add a water bottle and plug in!

NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser Review

We really like having the water dispenser. It saves on boiling a kettle of water, making it very convenient to get a cup of tea or hot chocolate. It is holding up well under our family of ten’s use of it. Granted the younger children cannot get hot water unless they have two of them to maneuver the child-safety feature on the buttons! It is easier for the children to get a drink and a lot less mess too, unless of course they overfill or spill, which they have yet to do, thankfully.

The only thing I really do not like about the unit is the fact that the buttons to dispense hot and cold water, as well as the child-safety button are all plastic. I fear they will eventually snap or break under heavy, extended use. I hope I am wrong but only time will tell. We have had it for nearly a month now, but we did limit the children’s use until this past week when I knew I would be doing the review.

Overall, the NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser has been a welcome addition to our home and I am looking forward getting much use out of it.

Ripple or Sorbet? Cool Recipes for Frozen Treats

Ripple or Sorbet? Cool Recipes for Frozen Treats

On a sweltering hot day, there’s nothing like digging through the freezer to find a chest of buried, icy treasure hidden in the freezer – especially if it’s homemade. It’s now possible to make your own ice cream in almost any flavour imaginable!

Case in point: Perry’s have brought out a chicken wing flavor, while rumor has it that it is possible to indulge in a pint of cheeseburger flavored ice cream in Venezuela. We’re not suggesting you try to top such taste insanity – instead, you can cool off with the following delicious treats, which the kids can help to make!

The Healthy One: Frozen Yogurt

For a lower calorie treat, try yogurt as a healthier base for your flavors rather than milk, cream and sugar. Bung some natural Greek yogurt, honey for sweetness, and a fruit or two of your choice into the ice cream maker for 30 minutes and await the perfect results. Peach, banana, kiwi and strawberry make for kid-friendly flavors that aren’t too tart.

The Chocolate One: Nutella

Fact: the number of Nutella jars sold in a year could cover the Great Wall of China eight times. Thankfully, for a swirl of chocolatey heaven in your vanilla, you’ll only need about half a cup for this recipe, which should be combined with whipping cream, milk and eggs once the ice cream maker gets going. Add crushed walnuts caramel sauce and banana for a banoffee spin.

15053133_l

The Takeaway Option: Popsicles

Your kids won’t want to miss a moment outside if it’s sunny, so opt for popsicles for a quick-fire cool down. Blend ripe watermelon with lemon juice and sugar and pour into popsicle molds for a healthy snack, or freeze chunks of banana and strawberry on skewers dipped in chocolate for irresistible fruit kebabs.

There are of course an endless number of different flavour combinations to create, so why not do some research, create a wishlist, and start making your own ice cream today! You’ll never turn back to store bought, once you’ve had the first bite….
