Shopping….I’ve always enjoyed shopping. I think it’s a lot of fun! For shopping at brick and mortar stores, we tend to combine shopping trips so we save time and money. Otherwise online shopping is preferred. Personally, I love the convenience of shopping online. It’s easier and often saves me more money and time then wasting gas driving from store to store.

I love shopping online at stores like Sears for many reasons. Not only does online shopping make the overall experience easier for everyone. But, you also don’t have to worry about taking your children out into a store on a busy day when an important appliance part breaks or hauling sick littles into various stores while searching for the perfect gift.

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters

Our boys seem to love anything to do with building. They love to build with random pieces of wood they find lying around and have even built camps with it. Hence, it’s not too surprising that they love Transformers. The option of taking apart and rebuilding a toy into a completely different figure also really appeals to them.

So they were thrilled when we got the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Assortment for review.

From the minute they saw the box and toy, smiles never left their faces. My two oldest sons checked the toy out and declared it “cool” and wanted to play with it as well, but my younger two boys were instant fans.

My boys had no problem at all reshaping the toy from fearsome dragon, into the powerful hunter option. They have a blast playing with their new toy and love the cool colors. Not to mention, they really, really like the dragon wings and weapons that the hunter carries.

The toys seem well made and the quality is good. At least from a mom’s perspective. So far my boys haven’t done a number on it. Yet. Then again, they also really love their new toy so I’m hoping they’ll take good care of it.

The Transformers Prime Beast Hunters are just a small part of the wide range of Transformer toys. This new line features more colorful figurines and powerful weapons that little boys are sure to love. Plus who wouldn’t love having a toy that goes from beast to hunter? Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch Blog Tour

Our family is pretty big on oats and yogurt so when the opportunity arose to review a box of Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch, we jumped on it. While we love cereal, it is a treat when we have it because there are not too many boxes big enough to feed our family. We tend to eat bread, bagels, eggs, homemade pancakes and waffles for breakfast since those foods go further. Cold cereal is sooooo easy though…much less fuss and mess! Definitely a life saver on busy days. We appreciate that aspect of cold cereal.

Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch is made with oats, whole grains and Greek yogurt, plus some other ingredients you can check out at the link above. Greek yogurt is thicker, smoother and seems to have more substance to it than regular yogurt. It also tends to have less sugar and is more tart than sweet, which is a lot better for us health wise.

Once we added milk to our cereal we could not really taste the yogurt very much and that may be why my daughter said it needed more yogurt. If you like granola…granola anything, you’ll like, and even love, Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch.

Sleepy Boy – Wordless Wednesday

This week’s Wordless Wednesday photo is of Jr. when fell asleep on his brother’s shoulder as they were watching Pink Panther on my iPhone. The children set him down or he laid down naturally on my big purse on the floor. Too precious! It’s a lot calmer around the house when this little guy is asleep. When he’s awake he’s into everything and anything!

New Balance Running Shoes

My husband needed new shoes so I got him some New Balance running shoes to review. New Balance has a proven track record for us. They wear well, they last, they are comfortable and we like the look of them. They are actually one of our favorite shoe brands.

These are the ones I got for him:

New Balance 940 Optimum Control

Robert says these New Balance running shoes are very comfortable. More comfortable than other shoes he has tried. He’s kind of tough to buy for though. Not to be repetitive, if you remember a previous shoe review he did, but Robert has a high arch so finding a shoe that fits well and accommodates his arch is difficult. We usually cannot buy online, he has to physically be there to try them on. Unless it’s New Balance running shoes because he knows his arch supports will work in them.

He loves his New Balance 940 Optimum Control running shoes!

The first was their Travel Intense Cream. It is suggested to be used for dry hands, feet, elbows, or at night for intense hydration. My elbows are always dry, especially in the winter. I placed just a dab of the cream on each elbow twice a day, and within three days my elbows were smooth as ever! I have tried many different moisturizers for my elbows and none of them have worked that fast. I also tried the Travel Intense Cream on my feet since they get dry this time of year, too. The first night I rubbed some on the bottom of each foot and put on some socks to lock in the cream. When I woke up I noticed a big difference in the dryness. I did the same thing for three nights in a row and could not believe how soft my feet were. Now I use it everyday on my feet and elbows after I shower to maintain. I cannot believe how well it worked. I like that a little bit of the cream goes a long way. The Travel Intense Cream is similar to a paste, but goes on smooth. It is not oily and it has an absolute wonderful smell to it. It is made with sweet almond oil, apricot kernal oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, water, green tea, aloe, oats, juniper berry, vitamin E, herbal extracts and essential oils. I would recommend it for anyone that has dry skin; you will not be disappointed!

Next I tried their Baby Wipe Solution. The solution can be used for reusable wipes or as a feminine hygiene cleanser. I used it with their Natural Bamboo Baby Wipes. Their reusable wipes are ultra soft and the perfect size for babies. They even stay soft after repeated washes. I wish they would make them in adult towel sizes, they are that amazingly soft. The solution came out almost like water and it was easy to spread over the wipe. It smelled absolutely wonderful and I feel it cleaned just as well as disposable wipes, if not better. I really like that the solution is free of chemicals. Some babies have such sensitive skin, that this solution is perfect for all babies. The Baby Wipe Solution is made with water, aloe juice, castile soap, sunflower oil, oat extract, vitamin E, lavender, rose, and tea tree oil.

Overall I was very impressed with the products from Moody Sisters Organic Skincare. They have an entire line of products for all skin types and ages including toners & scrubs, lip & eye products, and body care products. I would highly recommend these products to anyone looking for a quality skincare product that works. What a bonus that they are organic and handmade, too! KidsEmbrace

Kids safety is very important to parents. Especially when it comes to transporting children in a vehicle. Most states require a child to be in a car seat. Here in Illinois children are required to be in child restraint system until 8 years old or they fit into a car’s seat belt safely. It’s our job as parents to choose child restraint equipment that is safe to use and properly installed. Sometimes though toddlers can be tough when it comes to getting them into their car seats. My little sister was. Most of our children have done ok. They seem to just get sick of sitting period on long trips! Pretty normal for a child.

For those tougher toddlers, I imagine KidsEmbrace toddler car seats would appeal to these ever-growing, ever-changing children and make them want to sit in their car seat…at least for a time.

Boys familiar with Batman would love the Batman car seat. Girls would love the Dora Explorer seat. KidsEmbrace offers affordable, yet fun car seats for kids.

Goat Milk Soap Finished Product – Wordless Wednesday

Last week I published a Goat Milk Soap Wordless Wednesday post that showed the process of making Goat Milk Soap. This week’s post is showing the finished product – bars of Goat Milk Soap. This process involved grating the bars, melting it down again, adding essential oils. Remember, we use Young Living Essential oils as they are 100% pure therapeutic grade. Plus, we like the way the company is run and how they own many of their own farms – they have an open door policy, offering tours and even inviting people to come help with the harvest. I sooooo want to go some day!

We love this Humming Bird mold.

My daughter used a kitty cookie cutter to make a few small bars of soap for the children.

This soap mold required cutting the bars and you can see how soft they still were; because of this we are going to allow our soap bars to cure another week or two so they are firmer before selling them. We did sell a few bars over the weekend, just not as much as we wanted to.

STRIDER Bike Review

Our boys love their bikes. And the Strider Bike is a perfect product for introducing toddlers and young children to the biking world.

The Strider Bike is very easy to put together. My husband did so quickly and easily in a few minutes. Nookie had a ton of fun helping him as well.

The overall quality of the Strider Bike is impressive. It’s sturdy and perfectly safe for even the youngest toddlers. The seat is soft and has a nice little cushion for those little tushies.

My youngest two boys have been riding the Strider Bike indoors since it’s still too cold to use it outside, and they love it. It’s the perfect size for them and even my older kids thought it was cute. Although we did have to explain to them why it didn’t have any pedals.

We wondered if the lack of pedals would make Nookie go through some adjustment, but he was easily able to ride the Strider Bike! And our youngest son has also been using the Strider Bike and because of that, he’ll be so much more ready to ride a bike with pedals this summer.

We highly recommend Strider products. Not only do our boy’s love their brand new Strider Bike, but they get two thumbs up from us as well!
