If you are shopping for kids footwear, you might want to consider Crocs for back to school. We featured the Keeley Crocs in our Back to School Guide earlier, but we also received a pair to review.
They are odor resistant, ergonomic, lightweight, comfortable, anti microbial, fun, active casual footwear. Available in sizes 4-13 and a variety of colors.
Retail $24.99
Our Review
We have never owned a pair of Crocs, so these shoes are new to us, even though we have heard about them. Our daughter was thrilled to receive her Keeley Crocs. They are pink – her favorite color and fit her perfectly. She said they are comfortable and easy to get on and off. She now chooses her Crocs first over her old shoes, which are also pink. More time is needed to see how long they hold up over time. They seem well made and sturdy enough. For now, they are a favorite at our house and we think they are very cute! 🙂

Faith and Family Review
We really like the concept of the WaterWeek and see how it would benefit those attending public school each day. However, me have to be honest and tell you that we did not use them as they were designed. We allowed our younger children to choose a water bottle for their own and they even saved one out for the new baby to use next summer. 🙂
Love the holder for the refrigerator to keep them all in one place. The bottles are perfect for little hands. The caps are screw on, which the children haven’t had a problem with, but I have. I like the ones that are either like a straw or flip top so the children cannot easily spill the contents or lose the cover. That is my only negative though. When the covers are screwed on tightly, they do not leak.
The colors are bright and the designs fun.

I have been using these two purses for a while now and really, really, like them! They look small but they hold alot! In the grey purse I have been putting my cell phone and other needed objects and I am using the black one for my keys etc, etc. The key ring with cell phone holder (pictured above) and coin purse are perfect to attach to the inside of five’s messenger bag. The key ring and coin purse features a five petal flower similar to five’s logo flower. The purses have a zipper closure.
These purses are from the new line made by a fair trade co-op in Cambodia, is made from recycled plastic mosquito netting, carefully washed and cleaned, originally used to protect livestock, safety netting, and brick layers used it as a sand sieve. They are recycled, Eco-Friendly and support needy people in Cambodia.
These purses are available from five ACCESSORIES. They are $15 for the black and $20 for the grey. For more info contact: info@fiveaccessories.com or call 312.504.3483.

Luv My Woobie is a cute baby blanket and is very soft and comfortable for baby it is like chenille, trimmed in satin and appealing to the eye. For those who use pacifiers, you will be happy to know that the Luv My Woobie has a little pocket on the back side to store a pacifier. It even has a Velcro closure so no more losing pacifier!
I could not decide whether or not to let A use this blanket or wait till August if this little one is a girl. So I finally let A use it. She LOVES it! 🙂
The one thing that I missed when I took the opportunity to review Luv My Woobie is it’s fabric. The one my daughter got is pinks and browns with flowers – everything my daughter loves – except it has skulls on it. They are not scary skulls, they have bows, crowns, bandanas and flowers on their heads and hearts, X’s, and moons for eyes. Therefore they are almost feminine looking, as much as skulls can be. That is my only negative or complaint, if it can be called that because skulls just are not my preference. But my daughter doesn’t seem to mind and seems to think they are “little girls”. 🙂 Gotta love a child’s point of view! I just found out that this Luv My Woobie is called Sydney and retails for $74.00! Wow, thanks Luv My Woobie!

Explora® Water Bottle In Aqua Blue: This bottle package said spill proof and it truly is! We tested it by giving it to our 2 year old to test and not a drop came out. Not even when he shook it up and down. We were and are still pretty impressed. This water bottle is $4.99 and is worth the $5 you will pay for it. Not only is this cup BPA free but it is a larger capacity cup and is perfect for a child in need of a stage 4 cup.
Explora® Easi- Mat In Orange: My 2 year old used this mat with the weaning bowl several times and it did stick to the table but not to his Sesame Street placemat. This mat retails for $6.99.
Explora® Weaning Bowls with Lid & Spoon x 2 In Orange: This bowl works in conjunction with the Easi-Mat, and it sticks quite nicely to the mat. It was nice not to see him spill his food! The lid did not allow spills either which was another definite plus! The spoon really was for younger children but it was all right. It has not become my son’s favorite spoon but he still uses it. This set is $4.99.
As you can see, not only are these products safe for our children to use, but they are also easy on our pocket books.

About a week ago we received a six pack of Light Up Marble Cars to review. We have not done too many toy reviews, but these Marble Racers were an instant hit among our children. These little cars enabled me to get a bunch of work done with minor interruptions of excited exclamations over their new cars. I am sure it kept them busy for an hour or more. Seriously. By the time they put the decals on, which the older girls helped the younger two and the rest were able to put the decals on pretty much unassisted, but once that was done they played with them and raced their toy cars on the floor. They loved the fact that they lit up and said they could use them as their flashlights! 🙂
These little toy cars have held up well under the wear and tear of six little pairs of hands racing and zooming them across the floor.
My husband is in a buyer in the hobby industry and thought the Marble Cars were pretty neat. He thinks they’d sell at the shop he works at and plans to ask his distributor to carry them, as they do not currently do so. That’s 30 years of experience talking, so I am excited that he is able to get the word out about these cool little toy cars.
About Marble Cars
Light Up Marble Racers combine the racing excitement of mini-toy sports cars and the classic amusement of marbles to create a fun new toy for boys and girls 3 years of age and older. Kids customize their Marble Racers with themed, easy to use, crack & peel racing decals, race their creations on standard tracks, and then watch as the flashing LED marble rolls to keep pace with their speeding car. Light Up Marble Racers are the anti-video game: an old fashioned-type toy that gets kids away from the catatonic video game state, piques their creativity, and helps them to interact with other children.
There is nothing like it on the market. There are racing cars. There are marbles. But nothing else that combines these 2 classic stand-bys into 1 unique, fun “do it yourself” toy. Available in 6 electrifying styles – Police Racer, Fire Racer, Cats’ Eye Racer, Cyclone Racer, Confetti Racer, and Volcano Racer – this unique, colorful, new toy makes a great birthday gift or party favor. They retail for $4.99 to $6.99. Click here for more information about Light Up Marble Racers and to find a list of retailers where they are sold.

Courting Morrow Little was an intriguing novel based in the frontier time. I really liked the story line, as tragic as that time period was with the unrest between the Native American Indians and the settlers. The main character, Morrow Little, was no stranger to tragedy either.
The story touched on many issues prevalent in that time period. However, the issue that stood out to me most was Morrow’s struggle to deal with the past and move on from her own personal tragedy to embrace her future.
I really enjoyed Morrow’s love story and how the author intertwined it with her personal conflict. It was interesting how Morrow learned who her real friends were, but yet it corresponded with how we all realize at some point or another who our true friends are and who are not. Life lessons often come with some hurtful knocks along the way. True friends need to be treasured because they are hard to come by and need to be nurtured to some degree to keep the bonds close. Other friendships will come and go.
This was another riveting story that I stayed up late to read.
“Available July 2010 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.”
I three sample packages of KickinBerries Acai Antioxidant Stick packs in a giveaway that I entered a while ago. This review has just been sitting in my brain and in my drafts folder. Literally, I had a post titled and everything, just not written up!
We all have heard how good antioxidants are for us. We also know that most of us consume way too much sugar and that sweet drinks are a big culprit. And, most of us would like to do something to kick this unhealthy habit. If you are seriously looking for replacement drinks, besides all natural fruit juices. You might want to consider KickinBerries.
Here is what the company has to say about their product:
The berries in our product are the berries that have the most antioxidants that help our body repair itself naturally.
KickinBerries, Great taste, low sugar, high antioxidant berry mix.
I actually only used a half a package for an 8 oz glass of water. It’s quite potent stuff. It really seems to have a pucker factor because of the sourness. It tasted fine with only a half a pack. I liked it. I didn’t receive enough to tell if it helped or made a difference. Nor have I managed to buy some. Just like the Belly bars.
This was something different to do a mini product review on in case anyone was looking for something like this for themselves.

Money management is an important aspect in life. It takes time to develop the discipline of being good with money. Rare is the individual who is a natural when it comes to money, especially in this over-commercialized world in which we live. As parents, it is a part of our responsibility to teach our children to manage money. How many of you learned money management in school? I know I didn’t, at least until I got to my third year in Bible school/college. They had a course based on Ron Blue’s book, Master Your Money. Well, here is a child’s book to get you started in teaching young children about money and how to be responsible with it and their chores – Feeding Penny the Pig
Feeding Penny the Pig is a whimsical children’s story. Our younger ones enjoyed it, as it is geared towards 4-8 year olds. We all thought it was a cute story to help teach small children about money, as well as chores and work. There definitely aren’t many books on the market that teach children about money management.
The author of Feeding Penny the Pig is Jeannine Fox, who is a Certified Public Accountant and a grandmother who is concerned with the future of her grandkids. She says, “Our country is paying the price now for overspending, credit abuse and other irresponsible money management. If we teach kids at a young age to save money, we can prevent these problems from happening again.”
This book is available at major bookstores and costs around $14.95. For more information about Mrs. Fox, please visit www.mimisfunhouse.com
