My Review:

I received the Ceramic Salsa Bowl, “Mexican Spice”, from Mexico.  The artist is Javier Servin.

It measures 3.9′ H x 6.7″ W x 4.7″ D.  It came with a small tags that says…

“Mexican Spice – Orange Blossoms add a spicy contrast to the turquoise and cobalt blue composition of this salsa bowl.  in Javier Servin’s design, the hand painted motifs create raise textures over the bowl’s cool ceramic surface.”

It’s a beautiful bowl and I can’t wait to use it!

I also received a Leather Centerpiece, “Triangular Essence” from Peru.  The artist is Johnny Jimenez.

The leather bowl measurements are 2.6″H x 7.9″W x 7.9″ D.  The tag that came with this leather bowls says..

“Triangular Essence – Johnny Jimenez captures the artistic essence of geometry in the design of this handsome centerpiece.  He tools it of quality leather in a triangular shape featuring shiny iron studs at the center.”

Again, another beautiful piece.  My husband has confiscated it for himself to drop his keys and wallet in.

OUR REVIEW:

We received the 4 tier packin’ smart. This was a nice size as it allows for versatility of storage. I used the product to house treats for my toddler on the go. I found that this was a useful product to house treats as the compartments detach and I could give her one compartment and keep the rest in the diaper bag. One thing I liked was the small opening on the lid…it was great for dispensing just enough treats. The opening is large enough for the treats to get through without a problem, yet small enough so not too many treats squeeze out and make a mess.

Other uses? I think that this product would be great for baby formula…it would allow just the right amount and the opening would allow for easy dispensing. As I was looking over the website the pictures also show that you can use the product for a wide range of storage…one that caught my eye was office supplies such as paper clips and thumbtacks, etc…this would prove to be a great storage option as it would allow for neat and easy dispensing. I was also thinking this would be a great way to store spices…each in its own compartment and of course the easy dispensing feature! As you can tell the storage options are endless! This is a neat product! Visit www.packinsmart.com to view more about the product and buy a few!

Kid’s and Healthy Eating

Although our family is in process, we really do try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Our problem is keeping those growing tummies full! Our boys are always coming to me saying, “I’m hungry!” So we do provide them with lots of carbs too because they are very slim and do not seem to have an issue with weight control at all! Just like their daddy, they will be tall and thin.

If you want to help your child eat more balanced, healthier meals….then here is something that might be a tool to get them motivated to eat those veggies. It’s a children’s plate that is sectioned to promote the recommendation of half their meal fruits and vegetables!  This plate is perfect for a  5 year old (maybe even the 10 year old.. since the creator’s 10 year old still eats on it!  Not sure my children over 5 would since they associate it with a “baby plate”) Parents, grandparents, health departments, hospitals, and children’s diabetes programs have all purchased plates and found them to be helpful at home and in their practice.

We received one, but I have to be honest we have not used it yet! I have had it in my review pile on the desk and was saving it for baby to use. It is a typical child’s plate and will wash up well. However, it is melamine ware, which is BPA free, lead free and perfectly safe to use in the dishwasher. It is not microwavable though.

This plate is brightly colored and attracts the attention of small children with its fun design. Love the little strawberry, don’t you? Sturdy little plate.

“Garden Sleeves” or KitchenKuffs

Faith and Family Reviews received the following product in exchange for writing a review. While we consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, our reviews are our honest opinion and thoughts of the product.

When I started in the greenhouse last month it was annoying to wear my jacket while planting because my sleeves would fall down even when I yanked them up nearly to my elbows.  Yet most days it was still pretty cool in there so I needed a jacket on to keep warm. Then enters a nifty little product called KitchenKuffs (or as you can see by my title “garden sleeves”).

The KitchenKuffs have either have an adjustable cord or an elastic top that you slip over your arm and the result is your sleeves are held in place while you garden or wash the dishes or even clean the toilet. (I’d have a separate set from the kitchen though! Just my humble opinion!)

I really do not have anything negative to say about them. If you use the adjustable ones, which are the ones I prefer you can get a perfect fit for your arm. They come in a couple different styles, colors and sizes. I think KitchenKuffs are a great little product and highly recommend them for keeping those sleeves in place.

Hefty Basics Paper Plates

em>Faith and Family Reviews received the following product in exchange for writing a review. While we consider it a privilege to receive free products to review, our reviews are our honest opinion and thoughts of the product.

I love it when PR people stumble upon our blog because I am always surprised at what they pitch. This time it was a line of of paper plates that are biodegradable in-home composting and free of inks, dyes or coatings. Hefty® Basics™ paper plates are stronger than everyday plates at a value price, and provide a eco-friendly choice. We were sent the 45-count 8 5/8-inch lunch plate packages and 24-count 10 1/4-inch dinner plate packages.

We love these paper plates. They are very sturdy. And they hold up really well with juicy foods and can be carried with one hand. We even used ours for chili. We didn’t get to test how bio-degradable they are however but we wish we could have.

In the spirit of environmentalism, Hefty® Basics™ has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation™ on a quest to plant 10,000 trees, one for every ten new “Like”s on Facebook and we’d greatly appreciate your support by spreading the word! like them here-http://www.facebook.com/Hefty.BasicsTableware

***Closed***Yoplait Frozen Smoothie & Kitchen Aid Giveaway!

Congratulations to Nicole! You won this giveaway! Thanks to all who entered and to the wonderful sponsors! Winner chosen by random.org

I was provided with coupons to try the new Yoplait smoothies as well as a Kitchen Aid Blender. Thanks to Yoplait for providing me with the product, and information, and thanks to KitchenAid® who provided me with a 3-speed KitchenAid® blender through MyBlogSpark

Are you among the seven out of every ten individuals who don’t eat the recommended two servings of fruit per day (1 full cup)?

Yoplait® Frozen Smoothies are a quick and easy solution to help you get those important nutrients, plus a whole lot more, and now they’re available in a new, delicious Blueberry Pomegranate flavor!

Each package of Yoplait Frozen Smoothies contains one full serving of fruit (1/2 cup) and only 110 to 120 calories per serving. In addition to containing live and active cultures provided by Yoplait® yogurt, when prepared with skim milk and made according to package directions, Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are also a good source of calcium.

Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are very easy to make and were actually featured on the TV show The Biggest Loser, which airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC. (I’ve only heard of this show, I have never watched it though.) To whip up perfectly blended smoothies in a snap, simply empty the package containing Yoplait frozen yogurt chips and frozen fruit into your blender, add skim milk, and blend. It’s so simple. You can even use the handy Smoothie button on your new 3-speed KitchenAid® Blender, which blends ingredients at optimal speeds for deliciously smooth results. In just two minutes, you can enjoy a great tasting Yoplait Frozen Smoothie as a guilt-free breakfast, dessert or snack!

Found in the frozen fruit aisle of your local grocery store, Yoplait Frozen Smoothies come in four delicious flavors, including: Blueberry Pomegranate, Triple Berry, Strawberry Banana, and Strawberry Mango Pineapple.

Our Review

Our family was sent coupons for Yoplait Frozen Smoothies and tried the Blueberry Pomegranate and the Triple Berry. We found them very easy to make. It was more difficult to find the flavors we wanted and needed for the review! 3-4 stores later we found them. Everyone enjoyed them as we love smoothies. Yummy! Personally, I preferred the Blueberry Pomegranate, but that was just me.

I am not sure that I would spend the $3.00 to make two smoothies, as we usually just get the yogurt and use the fruit we’ve frozen to make them. But these would be great for families on the go since milk is an ingredient most families readily have on hand or families with limited freezer space. A little package for two smoothies, at $3.00 a piece, for our family of ten just isn’t economical, you know? That aside, the Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are very tasty.

So do you want to win two VIP coupons to try Yoplait Frozen Smoothies and a 3-speed KitchenAid® blender with a special smoothie setting??? Then enter below!

In the meantime, you may want to try the smoothies so we have been provided with a link that you may visit to receive an online coupon for $1.25 off any one flavor of Yoplait Frozen Smoothie. Recycled Picture Frame

I received this picture frame in exchange for some work I did for someone.

Recycled Picture Frame

This is the recycled picture frame that I have my children’s picture in and have it sitting on my desk. It is handmade by StreetWise vendor, Glenn Hughes. StreetWise is a Chicago based organization committed to helping impoverished individuals get out of poverty. The Recycled Picture Frame is sold by five ACCESSORIES who employs StreetWise vendors to make their Off The Street line of accessories.

The frame that Glen has made is basically a pine frame onto which he has cut and glued clean, recycled ticket stubs. These frames are also customizable upon request. This is truly a unique Chicago product since it has been made out of street rubbish found on the streets of Chicago.

Recycled Picture Frame

Included with the picture frame is an insert, usually found in frames; however, this insert includes a mini bio of Glenn. I think it adds a personal touch to the product.

As seen below, it has a little wooden post for the stand, which is convenient if you are going to display it on a table or desk. The post fits securely into a hole found on the back of the frame and enables the frame to remain stable while on display. The frame is very well made and I love that a portion of the sale of products sold by five ACCESSORIES is given back to charitable organizations, like the StreetWise vendors. The recycled picture frames sells for $15.

About five ACCESSORIES

five ACCESSORIES is a socially conscious business whose mission is to create income generating programs, give back a portion of their sales to charitable organizations and to promote the use of sustainable materials in fashion. (As stated on their home page).
