Body Bark and Comfort

I love comfy clothes. Unlike my oldest daughter, I usually go for comfort over fashion, that’s not to say that I do not like nice things, I do. I just happen to like them to be comfortable while looking good. My mother always said I had expensive taste, which I admit that I do, however, I am also very practical so usually practicality outweighs/out wins my taste. For that my husband and our bank account thank me. šŸ˜‰

Nope, I am not going to recommend that you wrap your body in something but I am going to talk up a wonderful line of Body Bark clothing that is wonderfully comfy. It is the missing piece in your closet!

I received a Body Bark Tank in the color navy, size XL to review and it is one of the most comfortbable tops I have worn. I don’t usually wear tank tops so I tried wearing this to bed and loved it! It will be easy to wear this luxurious top beneath other clothing, but I haven’t personally tried it yet. Nor have I washed my top yet since I have just worn it to bed a couple of times. So I cannot tell you how it washes up.

It fits me great and falls a little past my hips because of my short stature, but is actually the length I prefer.

Prices are on the higher side, but when you think of the money saved by wearing Body Bark under other clothing, eliminating putting those clothes in the laundry pile and your dry cleaning bill will be lower when you wear a Body Bark piece beneath a dry clean only article of clothing. Added bonus, eh?

Product Review: The Joy Of Jewelry

I received the God’s Princess Peach Pearl Single Strand Bracelet to review and really like it! It is comfortable, with a nice fit, easy to wear, and is really cute! I like the colors that Miss Joy used and the cute clasp! The bracelet came in a very timely matter so I was impressed by that! She packaged it very nicely with ribbon in a cute box so it is already gift wrapped. šŸ˜‰ It is very pretty. The bracelet is $17.99. Here is her description of the product.

Product Review: Natural Vines Licorice

We had the privilege of receiving two packages of Natural Vines Licorice in the mail yesterday. Yummy!

Natural Vines (TM) brand licorice is a new line of premium gourmet licorice. It is made with only natural flavors and colors from natural sources. It is sweetened with molasses (the black licorice) and pure cane sugar. Natural Vines contains no trans or saturated fats, no high fructose corn syrup or preservatives, zero cholesterol and are very low in sodium. Natural vines is also a soft, chewy licorice.

My entire family really liked the red licorice, which is strawberry flavored. That was ourĀ favoriteĀ of the two. Although the black licorice left something to be desired, but hey, Iā€™d eat the nine pieces to get 15% of my daily recommended iron! The licorice is very soft and chewy. Not at all tough to chew.

Personally, I Ā found that the red licorice left a funny after-taste that I cannot quite describe, but none of the children mentioned experiencing it. It wasnā€™t necessarily bad, but it wasnā€™t good either. What a contradiction, I know, but I still ate the licorice and liked it. I just wish I knew why it did that to me because it wasnā€™t anything I ate before the licorice because both times I had some I had not eaten since the last meal. Ā Only our 6 year old and our 2 year old liked the blackĀ licorice.

Natural Vines comes in a convenient 8 oz. resealable bag. Which is nice since you don’t need twist ties or resealableĀ bagsĀ to restore them. L.L. Bean Boat and Tote

At Christmas time I purchased a couple of gifts for older members of our family from L.L. Bean, while the company was offering a $10.00 gift card for purchase over $25.00. They had a free shipping deal going on, too, which added to the savings. I ended up receiving two or three $10.00 gift cards because I purchased each of the gifts separately due to the free shipping. This enabled me to save money on a couple of my gifts too. I was going to use my last gift card for something for my husband but they really didn’t have any good deals going on for men. I ended up getting our family a Boat and Tote from L.L. Bean in the large size with brown trim.

The reusable mesh totes stores give away or sell cheaply really do not last. Canvas is much nicer, more sturdy and lasts longer. Furthermore,Ā  it can withstand toting around a load of heavy books! That’s why I ended up purchasing the Boat and Tote. The totes were regularly $25.00, on sale for $18.99, plus I had my $10.00 gift card, making the tote $8.99. I did splurge to get it monogrammed with our last name because I don’t think we’ve ever had anything monogrammed before, plus I wanted it marked as our property in case we left it anywhere by accident. (By the way, they are still on sale! But the free shipping is only valid on orders over $75.00.)

It arrived yesterday and I love it! The large size is a very nice size bag to carry our massive supply of books that we always load up on when we go to the library! I can see using it as a diaper bag and carry-all bag too. The bag measures approximately 23.5″ wide by 15″ high. The base of the bag measures 7.25″ wide, but the top of the bag can expand to 23″ wide. Just in case you were interested! L.L. Bean has this listed for their measurements – Large 15″H x 17″W x 7Ā½”D. Regular handles 8″. I think they did their width across the handles, whereas, I did my width side to side like the monogram.

I love the quality of L.L. Bean’s products. They make products that last and that are made right here in the USA, not that I am against items made elsewhere. I like buying locally and supporting globally as much as the next person. It’s just good to support our own businesses right here in the USA, too, during these economic hard times.
