The weather has been great here and we have gone to the barn for the past three days. The children have been horse back riding bare back and all of them save the two little boys have trotted on Blaze! Jumpy had got on and off of Blaze by himself and even led Blaze around. A year or even six months ago Jumpy wasn’t doing these things. He’s growing up. It’s been so fun to watch them with the animals. Just call this Animal Week…
Here are our Ranch Dude and Dudette for this week:
My husband came home from work to discover a snake (he says it’s a garden snake) on the road in front of our house. Initially we thought it was dead, but it was still alive. We think it’s injured though from a close look at certain stuff coming out of it. Our children all ran outside to see the snake and being the blogging mom that I am, I yelled, “Take the phone and get a picture! That will make a great blog post!” lol! 🙂 I’ve seen snakes before and am not overly fond of them.

This weeks Wordless Wednesday is a photo of my youngest daughter playing outside.
A monkey swinging from a tree, oh, it’s my son swinging from a tree! 😉 Boys play and work. They set this “Tarzan” swing up last week and I think at least 3-4 of the children have come to me saying their tummy hurts. After questioning them I came to the conclusion that they were working their stomach muscles while playing “Tarzan”. 🙂
I wanted to capture the moment when my youngest daughter lost her second tooth. When I asked her to smile she gave me this goofy smile exaggerating her toothless grin.
I have been singing,
“All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth” and that’s all I can remember of that song!
Without Googling it, who can tell me the next line? The first person to answer correctly without cheating will win a prize! Honor system here, it’s not going to be some flimsy whimsy prize, ok?
Silly boys, silly boys underwear. 🙂 One day last week or the week before my two little boys somehow got baby’s new training pants and look what they did? I think all my children wore underwear on their heads at some point or another. All I can say is goofy!

This little girl loves to play Uno! She also likes to give herself all the 4+ and the change color cards!
You know spring has arrived when you spot robins eggs. Our children have found a couple of robin’s eggs in our backyard. When our four year old came to the door with the second one I managed to think fast and get a couple of pictures. Unfortunately, when he went to put it under one of our trees he tripped and cracked the egg. That’s when we found out why we were finding them on the ground – they were duds. Only an egg yoke was inside, no baby bird was developing.
